PHP Developer

We're looking for a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to join our API Platform Team. This team is responsible for building and maintaining integrations with external partners, including POS systems, marketing platforms, booking providers, and other third-party services. You'll play a key role in developing reliable APIs and real-time data synchronization solutions that directly impact our partners and customers. This is a backend-focused role with a strong emphasis on API design, scalability, and reliability. Our primary tech stack is PHP/Laravel, with occasional contributions to TypeScript projects.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and best practices.
  • Experience with data synchronization patterns, including webhooks, polling, retry mechanisms, and idempotency.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing database queries.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicate architectural trade-offs related to scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Experience working with Git, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Practical experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain partner-facing APIs and integration services.
  • Build and improve real-time data synchronization mechanisms.
  • Work with REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve existing solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team through code reviews, pull requests, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Nice to have

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of React and/or Next.js.
  • Experience with AWS and Docker.
  • Understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and API authentication patterns.
  • Experience with Keycloak.
  • Experience with message brokers or event streaming platforms such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Amazon SQS.
